Will HaloDrop fit my tap or bath?Updated 2 months ago
HaloDrop fits most taps and bath spouts with a removable aerator between 16-24mm.
The most important thing to check is whether your tap has a removable aerator.
If the aerator cannot be removed, HaloDrop™ will not attach.
Step 1 - Identify Your Aerator Type
Most taps use one of three aerator types.
1. External Thread Aerator
The thread is on the outside of the tap spout.
You will see the aerator screwed onto the outside of the tap.
This type simply twists off by hand or with a cloth for extra grip.

2. Internal Aerator
The aerator sits inside the tap spout, with threads inside the tap.
You will see a small aerator insert inside the tip of the tap.
These require an aerator key to remove.
Your HaloDrop™ kit includes the removal key for this type.

3. Internal Notched Aerator
The end of the tap has an aerator with two small notches
These require an aerator key to remove.
Your HaloDrop™ kit includes the removal key for this type.

Installation usually takes around one minute once the aerator is removed.
Step 2 - Measure Your Aerator
Once removed, measure edge to edge across the opening.
16 mm – 24 mm → It fits
If your measurement falls outside this range, HaloDrop™ will not fit that tap.

Step 3 - Choose the Correct Adapter
Your HaloDrop™ kit includes 12 adapters, but you will only need one.
• Internal thread (thread inside tap) → Use a C adapter (C2–C7)
• External thread (thread on outside) → Use a D adapter (D1–D6)
The correct adapter will screw in smoothly and sit snug. Be sure to use the adapter key in your kit to securely fasten the adapter.
Once installed, HaloDrop™ clips straight onto the adapter.
Taps HaloDrop™ Will NOT Fit
HaloDrop™ is not compatible with:
- Pull-out spray hose taps
- Square or waterfall taps with no round aerator
- Spouts with no threads
- Spouts larger than 24mm
- Spouts smaller than 16mm
- Spouts with no removable aerator
- Threads start partway up the spout
Quick 10-Second Compatibility Rule
If your tap:
• Has a removable aerator
• Measures 16–24 mm
• Has a round aerator
You’re good to go.
Still Unsure?
Send us a quick photo of your tap and we’ll confirm compatibility.
Most customers discover their tap fits perfectly once the aerator is removed, and installation takes around 2 minutes.
