Most Showers Don’t Need an Adapter

In the majority of homes, an adapter isn’t required. Our shower filter is designed to fit the standard G1/2 universal shower thread, used in most showers worldwide. Installation usually takes under 60 seconds.

The Simple 3.5 cm Rule

Check the distance between your wall outlet and your shower hose or shower head:

• 3.5 cm or more → the filter screws on directly, no adapter needed 
• Less than 3.5 cm → The Swivel Ball Adapter may help, usually only necessary when installing against a wall. The adapter allows the filter to angle slightly, giving enough space to tighten the connection properly.
• The Swivel Ball Adapter requires approximately 5 mm of clearance between the shower fitting thread and the wall to be installed correctly. If there is less than 5 mm of space available, the Close fit Adapter would be the recommended option.
